To all of you Mothers out there.
I am going to talk about an event I entered. I have never done anything like this before. It is called the Woman's Challenge for 2007. It starts today. I filled out an application on the web awhile back and had kind of forgotten about it until my literature came in the mail the other day.
Basically it is a walking program. I actually heard about it on a Atkins email group I am on and thought this might be a good way to help me get off my butt. I recieved a packet from them the other day with a pedometer. Beginning today I need to wear the pedometer everywhere and try to get in as many footsteps as I can.
I then go to the website an log my progress. I have picked the Midwest route. This lasts for eight weeks and the idea is to complete enough footsteps to "walk your entire picked route"
I am pretty excited about this! As I said earlier this is the first time I have ever done something like this.
The pedometer I recieved is very nice and it has Woman's Challenge written on it in pink letter and it is pretty heavy duty.
I am ready to put in on in a few minutes and see what happens today.
WISH ME LUCK!

That is to cool! Here is wishing you many many footsteps!
Good luck :)
I'm doing the Woman challenge too!
I've been wearing a pedometer since January '07 and it has kept me motivated to get in as many steps as possible. I think you are really going to enjoy yours.
Check out walkertracker.com if you want to use a site to record your steps after the 8 week challenge is over.
Good luck with the challenge. Get to stepin'!
Thanks Ladies!
There is a problem. My Pedometer does not appear to be working correctly. I wore it all day Sunday and it only counted 29 steps.
I wrote the challenge and will try to wear it again today and see if it works any better.
Bummer!!
